Note: All visitors must wear tennis shoes or boots in the petting area. No open-toe or open heel footwear allowed.

Prairie Farm is a replica of a turn-of-the century farm complete with barns, farmhouse, pond, pasture, & flower garden. It is open to the general public from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Farm features traditional farm animals such as sheep, pigs, goats, horses, cows, chickens, and geese.

No admission is charged, but donations to help feed the animals are appreciated. Farm tours and birthday parties are available by making reservations for these popular programs. Horse drawn trolley rides are also available weekdays throughout the summer.

• In memory of his wife, Mr. John L. Franklin of Champaign contributed $15,000 towards the cost of purchase.
• Dedicated in July 1966
