Preschool Programs
Our preschool programs are designed
to provide parents with a variety of activities for their
preschoolers during the day. Parents have the flexibility
to choose one or all three programs to design a program
that works best for them.
Staff provide safe transitions, escorting students from
one class to the next. Please select see our current Funformation Program Guide for more information.
Art Smart Kids
The Art Smart Kids Program provides supervised art-focused
recreational activities for children 3, 4 or 5 years of
age who do not attend kindergarten. Art Smart Kids will
develop your child’s creativity, imagination and self-expression
through activities in music, movement, creative dramatics,
storytelling, crafts, and two & three dimensional art.
Like Busy Bees, Art Smart Kids allows your child to learn
in a fun, safe environment, however, Art Smart Kids focuses
on preparing your child’s creativity and artistic
awareness before they begin Kindergarten. Art Smart Kids
will provide opportunities for participants to develop their
creativity, imagination and self-expression, as well as
to grow socially and emotionally.
The
program meets from September to May in addition to a summer
session which meets in June and July. The class assembles
weekdays (Monday/Wednesday @ $70/mo, Tuesday/Thursday @ $70/mo, and Friday @ $40/mo)
from 9:00am to 11:30am.
- Art
Smart for the Older Generation
Once your child has started to school, they may enroll in
this program, geared towards students enrolled in Kindergarten
through fourth grade. Like Art Smart Kids, Art Smart for
the Older Generation continues to develop your child’s
creativity, imagination and self expression through more
challenging activities. Painting, drawing, printmaking,
crafts, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, design and art history
are some of the activities your child will have to look
forward to.
The
program meets from September to May in addition to a summer
session which meets in June and July. The class assembles
on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm @ $100/session and Saturdays from 10:00-11:30am @ $50/session.
- Art
Smart for Toddlers

Art Smart Kids, they may join this program made especially
for toddlers. This class contains activities for children
age 18 months to 3 years old, and their parent or guardian.
Their activities include arts and crafts, music, creative
music, and large-motor skill activities.
The
program meets from September to May in addition to a summer
session which meets in June and July. The class assembles
on Mondays from 4:00-5:00pm @ $45/session.

Busy Bees
The Busy Bees Preschool program is a kindergarten readieness
program for 3, 4, or 5 year olds. Busy Bees provides a simulating
and secure environment in which your child can grow socially,
intellectually and emotionally. The children have opportunities
in large and small groups for music, outdoor play, creative
play, math and reading readiness activities, organized games,
arts and crafts activities, and stories. Busy Bees allows
your child to learn in an enriched setting; however Busy
Bees focuses on preparing your child intellectually for
Kindergarten. Short units are planned and taught by experienced
and caring teachers with child development credentials.
The program is designed for children age 3-5 years.
The
program meets from September to May. Classes assemble weekdays,
Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday and Friday, from 8:30-11:15
a.m. or 12:30-3:15 p.m. @ $80/session and Monday-Friday 8:30-11:30 a.m @ $140/session.
Creative Playtime
This program gives children an opportunity to enjoy more relaxed
preschool activities such as crafts, music and recreation.
This program is an excellent complement to both Art
Smart Kids and Busy Bees. It provides
time for the children to enjoy themselves after working hard
reading, painting and acting in the morning. If children attend
this program directly after attending our morning preschool
program, we will provide supervision while the children eat
their sack lunches.
The
program meets from September to May. The classes assemble
weekdays, Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, or Monday-Friday
11:30-3:15 p.m. or 11:30-5:30 p.m.
Eager
Beaver Preschool
Eager Beaver is our name. . . learning stuff is our game! Eager Beaver Preschool is a licensed program. We provide a stimulating and secure environment in which your child can develop socially, emotionally and intellectually. Cooking, music, arts and crafts, math, and science are just a few of the areas our experienced teachers offer in order to make this the most pleasant and valuable experience your child will have.
In 2002, Eager Beaver became a full-time, year-round, day care facility; licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services. Children participating in Eager Beaver Preschool work on developing social and academic skills to prepare them to be active community members. Children participate in age appropriate learning experiences to foster intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth. Every child receives comprehensive health care, including: medical, dental, mental health, and nutritional services. Programming emphasizes the importance of prevention and early identification of health concerns.
Parents are partners in planning and implementing activities for their child, family goals, and program outcomes. Services include: referrals, emergency assistance, and/or crisis intervention.
Children with delays or disabilities receive appropriate developmental services. Time is dedicated to teaching staff and families to work as a team to ensure that all children are included in the full range of program activities.
