Teen Programs

Are you a middle school or high school student interested in putting together programs that benefit local teens? The Champaign and Urbana Park Districts are the hosts of Teens In Action (TIA), a program for teens that is run by teens. The focus of TIA is to provide teens recreation, civic engagement, leadership opportunities, community service, and special events in the area. In TIA, teens can express their ideas and opinions freely; serving as advocates for youth. Also, they learn to work as a group in order to put their ideas into action. If you are interested in working on and tackling teen issues as well as providing recreation and community service then TIA is for you. Check-out one of the meetings every third Wednesday of the month, held at Champaign and Urbana Park District facilities. Call to find out the location of the next meeting. There is no membership fee, but there may be additional fees for programs.
