performers-abridged to 60-80 minutes,
with music transposed into keys appropriate
for young voices.
Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where every beggar has a story and every camel has
a tail! All of your favorite characters are here in this stage adaptation of the Disney hit, including
Aladdin, Jasmine, and of course, the Genie. Filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides,
audiences’ spirits will soar with excitement. Most of all, the tuneful, Academy award-winning
score with songs including “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me” will certainly make this
musical a favorite for many years to come!
Audition Week:
Mon August 29, 6-8pm: Parent meeting, hand out scripts and cd’s of the show.
Tues, August 30: Students review and listen to materials on their own to allow
them to see what parts they might want to audition for.
Wed, August 31, 6-9pm: Auditions
Thurs, September 1, 6-9pm: Auditions
Fri, September 2, 6-9pm: Second auditions if desired by child, and call backs if needed.
Show cast will be posted on Saturday, September 3. Regular rehearsals start Wednesday, September 7.
