Ages 15+
Here’s your chance to get in on the softball action this summer! We offer a variety of leagues that will fit
your skill level, as well as Co-rec, Women’s, and Men’s Leagues.

Player Eligibility:
Players must be 15 years of age by May 1, 2010 to play. Players may only play on one double header
team or one women’s team. These leagues must be adjacent in ability. For example, a player may not
play on a Tuesday night doubleheader team and a Wednesday night doubleheader league because
they are different skill levels. The player can play in Monday single header or a co-rec team. Also,
players may only be listed on one roster per league.

Registration Guidelines:
At the time of registration, an application and all fees are due. No registrations will be accepted without
full payment! If your team is sponsored, both the manger and your sponsor must complete and sign a
sponsor form available on-line or at Bresnan Meeting Center. Both signatures must be on the form for it
to be valid. Completed rosters with names, addresses, phone numbers, and signatures will be due the
first day of games.

*Ending dates may vary due to number of teams in each league and rainouts.
**Teams consisting of 60% or more Champaign-Urbana residents will be considered resident teams and receive a $90 refund.

Returning Teams: Teams that have at least 60% of their official 2009 roster returning may register starting on Monday, February 8th. An application, money, and unofficial roster will be due. The unofficial roster should include the names, addresses and phone numbers of players who intend to play with the returning team. This will be cross-referenced with the 2009 roster to make sure 60% of the team is returning. An official roster with signatures will be due the first day of games.
Open Registration: Open registration for any team wishing to play will start on Monday, February 16. An application and fees will be needed to register.
FINAL DEADLINE FOR ALL TEAMS: Thursday, March 11
Fees: All fees listed are per team and do not include jerseys.
Resident Team Status: Teams consisting of 60% or more Champaign-Urbana residents will be considered resident teams. Teams must maintain resident team status all season to be eligible for refund. Refunds will be processed after the deadline to add/drop players from rosters. Refunds will be processed in accordance with Champaign Park District policies and procedures.
Mandatory Manager’s Meeting:
- Tuesday April 6 @ 7:00pm for Co-Rec and Women's
- Thursday April 8 @ 7:00pm for Men's

All meetings will be held at Bresnan Meeting Center

Additional Information: Games will start the week of April 12. Single header leagues will play 14 games. Doubleheader leagues play 28 games. Games will be played at Dodds Softball Complex and Dexter Field. Official rosters are due the first day of games.

League Offerings

• Monday Evenings – Mens A,B,C,D and Competitive Co-rec
• Thursday Evenings Traditional Co-rec
  Traditional co-rec is played similar to T-ball. All ten (10) batters bat in an inning and outs prevent a run from scoring. Games are 4 innings long and Male batters use a “mush ball”.

Starting Dates: April 19
Cost: $400 per team
To register, fill out an application form and bring it to Bresnan Meeting Center , 706 Kenwood Road , Monday – Thursday 8-5:30 and Friday 8-5. Please also plan to attend the League Meetings.

GIRLS SOFTBALL CLINIC
This program introduces young girls, ages 7-8, to the game of softball. It is designed to accommodate each child according to their individual skill level. Emphasis is placed on having fun while learning the rules of the game, as well as the basic fundamentals of throwing, fielding, and batting. Participants must provide their own glove.
